Podcast #57 A Day in Los Angeles

Published in the category General Practice, Life in the USA

I got up at seven thirty. Something woke me, maybe a helicopter. God knows, there are enough of them. I made some hot cereal. Had that with a cup of decaffeinated coffee. I’m not supposed to have caffeine. I ate watching the news on TV. There was nothing really new. Terror attacks. Climate change. The economy. Went out for an hour’s walk. It was a nice sunny day with a light breeze.

Came home and checked my e-mail. Had a nice note from a friend in San Francisco. He might be in town in a couple of weeks. He asked if we could meet somewhere. I also looked at the stock market. Not a lot of movement. For the next couple of hours I read. I like reading in the morning.

I treated myself to lunch out. Had a vegetarian burrito and iced tea. Drove to the library. I took a look at a couple of magazines. Checked out four books. At three I went over to the neighborhood school. I tutor a student there in reading. He’s improving.

I went home and read for a while. Made a salad. Had that with a roll and cheese for dinner. Put in a movie DVD and watched till nine. Washed, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. I read for a while and turned out the light at 10. I went right to sleep.
